Mendocino arch

This piece was painted in plein air during our latest trip to Mendocino, CA. We were so lucky that during this trip we got quite a lot of sun and not just the usual Mendocino fog! There are so many incredible views, but this arch was just stunning. I did have to edit the rocks on the background to have a bit of an escape route and open up the composition a little bit. This painting was done mostly in plein air, but it did get very cold and windy towards the end of the session, so I had to finish it in studio :)

Care Instructions

To care for oil paintings, keep them out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources or high humidity to prevent fading, cracking, and mold. Dust gently with a soft, dry, natural-hair brush or feather brush every few months. Handle by the frame with clean hands or gloves, and store upright, never flat.
