Autumn quince

This piece depicts a perfect painteresque fall subject - a quince. I took the reference photo from Paul Foxton (with his permission) whose workshop I was attending at the time. I particularly loved the delicate crevices on the fading leaf and the gorgeous muted yellows and greens of the overall composition.

Care Instructions

To care for oil paintings, keep them out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources or high humidity to prevent fading, cracking, and mold. Dust gently with a soft, dry, natural-hair brush or feather brush every few months. Handle by the frame with clean hands or gloves, and store upright, never flat.
